Target Audience Considerations

A target audience is the group of people that you are trying to reach with your product or message, in our case it will be who we are aiming our music video at.
Our initial target audience for our music video is people aged 17 and over, this is because the song is about people of this age group so if they are or have being 17 they will be able to relate to the song/video easier than people who haven't reached this age yet. Demographically, we think that it will appeal to both male and female but to a higher percentage of males. We don't think that class would be an issue and that the majority of the audience would be white British. For psychographics they are likely to have interests in classic rock and wouldn't like the mainstream charts, listening to and playing music would also probably be one of their interests.

Pitch

The feedback we received and our response to the feedback.
- Try to avoid the original video, instead of using inspiration from the original video we will take it from the genre of rock instead.
- One of our male actors can not play the guitar but we were planning on having a guitar within the video for a number of shots, therefore this could be a problem. Our way around this problem is by having shots of the actor holding the guitar and others of him strumming it or doing the cords in different shots, this should hopefully make it look realistic with us being able to keep the same actor.
- Another problem we had was the ageing of the different actors as we were going to have a non linear narrative which jumps between the present and flashbacks of their school years. We were unable to find character look a likes which were suitable so we will use different techniques to still be able to create this effect.
- Sort out the actors, Henry can't be in it all even if he wants to!
