Editing

This is the editing which we have undertaken to link the performance and the narrative together. The scene includes both the lead singer Will and main narrative character Henry.

 

This is our completed set out for our timeline. We still have bits to change slightly to make the video look as effective as possible.

At the begining of the music video, we have added a scene where there is no music, the audio is the two people speaking to each other. The first shot of an over the shoulder one of the lead singer Will holding a note pad with the word song on it but nothing else. This establishes that he is thinking of a song but currently has no ideas.

This is then the shot where Henry comes into the scene, he sits down on the bench and engages in conversation with Will about why he's sat outside. When Will tells him that he's looking for inspiration linked to past experiences. Henry then gives him this inspiration about an ex-girlfiend he had a couple of years ago.

 

This is when the sound track starts.

 

Throughout the video we put in a number of shots which show both Will and Henry writing the lyrics of the song.

 

This is a shot of Henry writing the begining lyrics which is seen towards the begining of the video.

 

This is a shot that Will and Henry are seen being 'young and restless' and enjoying themselves whilst writing the lyrics.

 

 

Here are two other shots where Henry is seen writing the lyrics of the song. Again they are both over the shoulder shots and one is more close-up than the other.

 

At the end of the video we chose to also have an outro for the part that links the narrative and performance together.

 

This is when the name of the artist comes up as well as the name of the song.

 

After this, there is then a shot of Henry and Will sat on the bench again. And this leaves the video on a humourous mood due to the audio said.
